The Owner's Insights On The Singolo 3630

The first thing I tell people about the Singolo is that it has no front. Three steel walls, a roof, and an open side facing your garden. As a garden shelter that is the whole idea, and it is also the thing to be clear-eyed about before you buy.

You get 10.7m² of covered floor that stays dry in the rain and shaded in July. Your chairs live out there all summer. So does your barbecue. Nothing goes green, nothing gets put away.

What it is not, as it ships, is secure. There is no door and no lock, so your bikes and tools are a bad idea in there unless you add the sliding doors, which close the front in and turn it into a room.

At 265cm it is tall, and that height is the part people trip over with planning. Check yours before you order rather than after.

Why You'll Love The Singolo 3630

  • 10.7m² of covered outdoor floor – dry in the rain, shaded in July, and usable on the days a pergola is not.
  • A 265cm ceiling, higher than most garden buildings – it feels like a room rather than a shelter you duck into.
  • 4cm insulated sandwich roof, rated to 220kg/m² – heavy rain sounds like rain, and snow is not something you think about.
  • 275g/m² zinc on hot-dip galvanised steel – the reason for the 20-year warranty and the reason you will never repaint it.
  • Glass sliding doors available – close the open front in and the same building becomes a lockable, weatherproof room.
  • A light grey inside wall as standard – Telluria line one wall in light grey whatever exterior colour you pick.

Why You Should Consider A Telluria Garden Building

Telluria build in steel and nothing else, from European mill stock through to finished kit. That focus is why the range carries a 20-year warranty. We are an authorised UK dealer for over 20 leading manufacturers, so your warranty and factory support hold up rather than being a grey-import gamble.

What Do People Actually Use A Garden Shelter Like This For?

Covered seating is the common one. Your sofa and a low table live out there from March to October, and you use the garden on days you would otherwise look at it through the kitchen window.

After that it splits three ways. Outdoor dining, because a table for six fits under 10.7m² with room to push chairs back. A garden bar, which the open front suits better than any shed. Or cover for something that lives outside anyway, which is where the hot tub owners come in.

Can It Be Closed In?

Yes, and this is the option worth understanding before you order. Glass sliding doors span the open front and turn the building into a lockable room, which changes what you can leave in it.

The doors come in black or anthracite, and your price at checkout includes the tracking system, the weather brush and the lock. One thing Telluria are upfront about and so are we: the anthracite door frame is RAL 7024, which is a slightly different anthracite from the RAL 7043 of the building itself. Side by side you can tell. Choose black if that would bother you.

Should I Add The Windows?

The windows are fixed panes in one of the side walls, 199.5cm tall and double glazed, and you tell us at order whether you want them on the left or the right.

They are worth it if the shelter faces away from the sun or sits against a fence, because the open front is doing all the lighting work otherwise. If it faces an open garden and gets afternoon light, save the money.

What Base Does It Need?

Flat, level, and out to 388cm x 328cm, which is the footprint once the overhanging eaves are counted.

Concrete, paving or a purpose-built ground frame all work provided the surface is true. Your kit includes its own floor frame and anchor bolts, so it fixes down to whatever you lay. Since the front is open, get the slope right so rain blowing in has somewhere to go rather than pooling at the back.

Will I Need Planning Permission?

Read this before you order. In England, permitted development limits an outbuilding within two metres of a boundary to 2.5m in total height. This building stands at 2.65m, so inside that two-metre strip it will not qualify.

Set it further into the garden and the flat-roof allowance is more generous. Take the height of 265cm and the footprint of 358cm x 298cm to the Planning Portal and to your local authority. Rules differ across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Can I Run Power Out To It?

Telluria supply an electricity kit built for this building, and you can add it at checkout. It covers wall spots, ceiling spots, switches and sockets including a double outlet.

The supply from your house is separate work and a qualified electrician must carry it out to current UK wiring regulations. Worth talking to them before you order, because a run to an open-fronted building needs weatherproof fittings your electrician will want to specify.

How Does It Compare With The Other Sizes?

There are two Singolos and they share everything except the footprint, so your choice is purely about space. This one gives you 10.7m².

The Singolo 4836 takes it to 17.1m², which is the size that swallows a hot tub or an outdoor kitchen without feeling tight.

If what you actually want is an enclosed room rather than a covered outdoor space, look at the garden rooms collection instead. The Luminato range is the same steel and the same warranty, with four walls and a door.

Delivery And Installation

Yours arrives as a kit on a pallet. Access matters, so tell us about narrow side returns, steps and gated alleys when you order and we will be straight with you about what is workable.

Our fitters will build it on your prepared base if you add the installation service at checkout. If you are having the sliding doors, having both fitted on the same visit is considerably easier than adding them later.

What The 20-Year Warranty Covers

Your cover is a corrosion warranty on the galvanised steel, which is the property that decides how long a metal building genuinely lasts. It is not accidental-damage cover.

Keep the coating clean and rinse it down occasionally as you would your car. On an open-fronted building the inside sees more weather than a closed one, so give the back wall the same attention.

Not Sure Which Size Or Colour?

Talk to us before you order rather than after. We will go through your footprint, your base, which side you want the windows and whether the sliding doors are worth it for how you plan to use it. Call 0330 043 4643, email info@outerluxury.co.uk, or message us on WhatsApp, Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm.
