How Do Red Light Therapy Panels Work?

Red light therapy panels emit light in the 630-660nm (red) and 810-850nm (near-infrared) range. Red light is absorbed mainly by the skin's surface layers, while near-infrared penetrates deeper into muscle tissue — which is why most panels, including our Mito Light range, combine both wavelengths rather than just one.

What Are They Good For?

People use red light therapy panels for skin appearance, post-exercise muscle recovery, and general relaxation as part of a wider wellness routine. Results and experience vary by individual, and panels are not a substitute for medical treatment.

Session Length and Distance

Most sessions run 10-20 minutes, positioned roughly 15-60cm from the panel depending on the model and intensity setting — check your specific product page for guidance. Many of our panels, including the full Mito Light range, are built with Zero/Ultra-Low EMF technology, which is worth checking for if EMF exposure is a concern for you.

Choosing the Right Size

Our Starter panels are compact, desktop-friendly models suited to targeted sessions on the face, neck, or a single muscle group. The Expert and Biohacker panels step up in size for broader coverage across the torso and shoulders. The Mitohacker and Master panels are our largest, full-body options, and floor stands are available separately for hands-free sessions with the compatible panel generations.
